Dr. Richard Waldron
Dr. Richard Waldron has worked with the Hobart Anaesthetics Group since 1997. Since graduating from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1982 and finishing his anaesthetic specialty training in 1993, Richard has held several positions including Staff Specialist and Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital (1993 - ), Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California Davis Medical Centre in Sacramento, USA (1993/94) and Senior Clinical Lecturer in Anaesthesia at the University of Tasmania. Dr. Waldron had had a number of important appointments with the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA), the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and at the Australian and NZ College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), most recently as an elected member of the federal council of ANZCA (2006-2009). He was awarded the the Gilbert Troup Medal at the ASA National Scientific Congress in 1997.
