Dr. Angela Ralph
Angela completed her medical degree in Tasmania (1995) before moving to Sydney's Westmead hospital, where she completed 3 years of anaesthetic training.During a 6 month rotation with the acute pain unit at Westmead she developed a strong interest in the management of post operative pain.In 2001 she returned to the Royal Hobart Hospital where she completed her training over the next 4 years, in between having 3 children. Angela now works as a locum anaesthetist with The Hobart Anaesthetic Group, as well a consultant anaesthetist at the Royal. Her interests include regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks and epidurals for surgery and post operative pain), post operative pain management and the teaching and training of junior doctors and anaesthetists. Positions held at the Royal Hobart Hospitial include Supervisor of Training 2006-2008 and Director of the Acute Pain Unit 2009.
