Dr. Andrew Mulcahy

Dr. Andrew Mulcahy joined the Hobart Anaesthetic Group in 1988 after gaining his fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Over more than 20 years of specialist anaesthesia practice and nearly 30 years as a medical practitioner he has worked in a number of positions in different areas including as a Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital and currently at all private hospitals in Hobart.

Dr. Mulcahy has held a number of posts representing anaesthetists both locally and nationally and is currently Vice-President of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) having been an office bearer for more than 20 years. He is also currently a member of the Medical Council of Tasmania.

Dr. Mulcahy has been involved in medical education over many years having lectured to undergraduate medical students at the University of Tasmania, postgraduate nursing students, contributed to continuing medical education for the Tasmanian Ambulance Service and convened the National Scientific Congress for the ASA.

Dr. Mulcahy enjoys spending free time with his family and cycling.
